ALM Consultant
Paul is responsible for providing ALM analysis that assists credit unions in quantifying interest rate and concentration risk on their balance sheets. Using a variety of sophisticated software and modeling tools, Paul generates analytics to help his clients make informed decisions..
In his role, Paul works closely with credit union boards and ALCOs to ensure they understand their ALM reports and how to use them. He also performs ALM model validations and works with credit unions to define policies, refine ALM assumptions and improve modeling results.
Paul has more than 20 years of experience in asset liability management for financial institutions, including leadership of ALM analyst teams. Most recently, he served as senior quantitative risk analyst for the Federal Home Loan Bank of Cincinnati, where he performed ALM reporting and developed forward risk modeling. His experience also includes eight years as a bank manager for State Farm Bank, where he was responsible for ALM and financial modeling, and six years as AVP/risk manager at Volunteer Corporate Credit Union.
He has an MBA in Finance from Georgia State University, as well as a graduate degree from University of Georgia and an undergraduate degree from Michigan State University. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and has his Financial Risk Manager (FRM) certification.
